Why is my Dell Workstation slow to boot?
Some dell workstations don’t like certain USB devices plugged in at boot time. For instance, if a memory card reader is plugged in to a USB port at boot time the computer may boot at just 10% of normal speed. Unplugging the USB reader and trying again usually resolves the issue. We have also seen this occur when the mouse or keyboard is not in the allocated usb ports (usually underneath the Ethernet port).
