Modules may be installed individually, but must be ordered and installed in pairs for Dual Channel Mode.

Kingston offers "K2" Kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode.

Mixing DDR2-533 Registered DIMMs with DDR2-667/800 Registered with Parity DIMMs is not recommended.

Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.

There is a limit of eight total memory ranks installed in the first two Banks of each processor using DDR2-667 and DDR2-800.

If this limitation is exceeded, the memory will clock down to 533MHz.

Only systems with AMD's Opteron Socket(s) F 45-nm CPU can use the DDR2-800 part numbers
