Comments:Model Identifier: MacPro3,1 Mac Pro (2008) supports up to four SSD drives in the 3.5" drive bays (1 + 3 empty drive bays), plus at least one drive in a PCIe based card. Requires purchase of a drive carrier to secure the drive, or a Velocity Solo PCIe card. (Note, the Velocity Solo card is not supported for booting from in the MacPro3,1 model, only as high speed storage.) Built-in SATA ports are 3Gb/s. 6Gb/s is supported with the Velocity Solo card installed in one of the two 16x PCIe slots. Memory must be installed in pairs.
