Q: Will my system recognise the maximum RAM upgrade?: The maximum memory your OS will recognise (whether it be Windows, Mac OS, or Linux/Unix) depends on the version you are running. 32-bit operating systems (which most people use) will usually see (and utilise) somewhere between 3GB to 3.5GB, depending on the peripheral configuration and motherboard limitations. A 64-bit OS will recognise beyond 4GB. Read more.

Systems come standard with either DDR2-533 (KTM3211) or DDR2-667 (KTM4982).

When mixing the KTM3211 and the KTM4982, all installed memory will run at the DDR2-533 speed.

MODULES MAY BE INSTALLED ONE AT A TIME; however, they must be added in like pairs to take advantage of dual channel mode.

Although it is physically possible to install more memory, the system will only recognize 4GB maximum.
