This handy USB 3.1 expansion card delivers USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds with a bit rate of up to 10Gbps which is 20X faster than USB 2.0 and 12X faster than FireWire. Compatible with both older and newer USB 3.1 technology, this card includes 2x USB-A ports, and is backwards compatible so you can connect your USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 devices if desired.

Out of the box it has a regular PCI bracket (attached) and an optional low profile bracket for installation into all types of computers that have an available PCIe slot. Compliant with USB 3.1 Specification Revision 1.0. . NOTE: The ASMedia chipset used in this board is NOT compatible with Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan), but works fine with earlier or later versions of OSX.
