You will need a 25 character Windows license key but many computers have the key embedded into the firmware. To use the USB, shut down your computer, install the new SSD, plug in the installation USB you made and then turn on the computer. It should boot from the USB.  If it does not, then you have to go into the BIOS. Hitting a function key like F1 or F9 at reboot will usually get you into the BIOS (you can chatGPT or Google it). Once in the BIOS, go to the Boot sequence\/order and make sure USB is first. Save and continue.
