This Orico hub features a 3rd-generation VL812 USB 3.0 controller providing reliable and stable connectivity with all ports populated.
This Hub features data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps on every port, which is up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. It's also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.0 devices. *Note* to achieve USB 3.0 speeds on the ports, this hub needs to be connected to a USB 3.0 port on the host computer.
Unique Angled Design
The port face on this Hub is angled at 32-degrees, making plugging/unplugging devices just that little bit easier with better visibility to see what devices you have plugged in.
Completely Host Powered
This hub is completely host powered, meaning there is no need for an additional power supply. This makes it an ideal companion for your laptop bag in situations where you are completely unplugged but still need to access multiple peripherals. *Note* This hub is a port-extender and is not designed to charge your devices. From our testing, it will provide some charge at around 0.2 to 0.3 amps but that's all.

Do you only have USB 3.0/3.1 Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports in your system?
If your system only has the newer USB 3.0/3.1 Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports, then you can still use this hub, even though it has a USB Type-A connector on the cable. All you need is one of these USB Type-A to Type-C adapters and you are good to go.

Things to note
- This is a host powered hub only and the included cable needs to be plugged into your computer before connecting any peripherals. There is no power supply included.
- Some peripheral devices such as 3.5-inch hard drives may require more power than this hub can provide. Generally speaking we'd expect any SSD or 2.5-inch HDD to work just fine as attached storage on this hub.
- The 4x USB 3.0 sync ports can also be used for charging, but provide only a meagre 0.2-0.3A output.
